When I’m not knee deep in a squat or whipping up a new recipe, you can find me writing, baking, dancing and dreaming of Hawaii.

I’m super excited for you to take a look into my own health and weight loss journey and realize you’re not alone. If you’ve struggled with your weight, tried diet after diet only to gain the weight back or more, confused with all the fitness and nutrition information out there, I completely understand.

I understand because I have been there myself, many, many times.

My weight was a struggle for me as long as I can remember. As a teenager I became very self conscious about my body and hated being the “fat” girl. I struggled with bulimia as a teenager and it began to trickle into my twenties. I knew I needed help and wanted to get my health back on track and feel good about myself. I joined a gym and within a few short months lost all of the weight. I was feeling confident and comfortable in my own skin. Before my transition into the world of fitness and nutrition I worked in the retail industry. I have always been a very creative person, but I had no idea how much it would affect my life and my health.

My first AHA moment about my health happened in 2007

After being misdiagnosed with a urinary tract infection when I actually had a kidney infection, I needed antibiotics ASAP. I was off work for a week and given IV treatment 24/7. I had no idea how my life would change after that almost fatal diagnosis. Soon after the treatment I began to experience stomach pains, bloating, constipation and less energy. I didn’t understand what was going on because I was eating healthy, working out 5 days a week, drinking lots of water and getting a good night’s sleep. Why am I feeling like a big bag of shit and can’t take a proper poop! I decided to get tests done at the hospital and when my results came back the doctor held up the x-ray and said with a little grin on his face,

“you’re fine you’re just severely constipated.”

He gave me a prescription for a stool softener and after feeling just slightly (HUGELY) embarrassed I went on my little constipated merry way to get my prescription and hopefully feel better. I was quickly in the same boat again a few days later and completely backed up. I didn’t know what to eat anymore, I didn’t know what to do anymore, and began to think is this my new normal?? After some investigating I discovered I had a high sensitivity to gluten and a severe overgrowth of candida in my gut. Little did I know the impact of taking those antibiotics 24/7 would have on my gut health. Once I eliminated gluten from my diet I IMMEDIATLEY started feeling better. I was having regular morning poops which was AMAZING!! I also began seeing a naturopath to help treat my candida overgrowth and within 3 months I was able to lower my candida to a healthy level and my digestion was back on track.

My second AHA moment about my health happened in 2013

I was working retail after going back to school for merchandising and display. It was exciting, very hands on and very demanding. I began to get burnt out, my workouts were suffering or non existent and my health was declining. I was having gluten and snacking on sugary foods much too often and my body just had enough! I had a lot of inflammation in my body, my overgrowth of candida was back and I was gaining weight fast. I developed leaky gut, skin rashes, my skin looked dull and lifeless, I had no energy and I was constipated! I knew if I continued down this path my health would get even worse and I couldn’t let that happen.

THIS IS IT! This was no way to live. I decided to leave the retail industry and pursue my passion in the fitness and nutrition industry. I know how far I have come with my own health and the holistic approach I needed to take to make myself healthy again. It took some time but I healed my body and lost the weight I had put on. I let go of old patterns, limiting beliefs and focused on the positive.

No matter where you are with your health and your weight YOU have the power to change it and create a life and body you love!

Sometimes you may need a little or a lot of guidance along the way. I help woman struggling with their weight transform their mindset and bodies to release the weight naturally. There is a lot of information out there about weight loss and nutrition and I help simplify it to make it easy and fun! This is not about a fad diet, starving yourself, exercising for 2 hours everyday, diet pills or constantly counting calories.

There are no shortcuts. This is YOU making a conscious decision to lose the weight once and for all and being CONSISTENT with your goals.

I worked on myself, I was consistent and transformed my body and health without any crazy fad diet or over exercising. It wasn’t always easy and I still find it difficult sometimes, but it’s not supposed to be perfect.

It won’t always be easy and it won’t always be fun but you can release the weight that you’ve been struggling with and keep it off. Sometimes you just need someone who understands and can guide you step by step along your weight loss journey. I am your friend and your support. Let me show you how I can help.
